This is the village entrance into Iwagakure and it is the only entrance available due to the fact that the village is surrounded by an impregnable mountain range. This entrance is a passage way between two mountains and in order to enter, one must go through two huge gates of thick steel made by the finest blacksmiths and craftsmen in Iwagakure and enforced with the hardest of ceramics. The gate is watched by the Iwagakure Special Forces (Anbu).
Just outside of Iwagakure lies, a nearby mining town who mine resources from the mountain range. Some of the best craftsmen and blacksmiths gather here to work and the town is partially industrialised. Iwagakure has good relations with this town and they often exchange resources.
High peaks of chilling cold and thin air, only the bravest men attempt to climb the mountain range that surrounds Iwagakure. There is a reason why there are no watch guards or watch towers who watch over this potential entrance. However, while trying to enter Iwagakure is almost impossible, the mountains are often climbed by men who wish to prove themselves or used as a punishment for missing-nin and criminals.
The military tradition of Iwagakure is reflected in its outlying forts, that once extended from the Land of Earth all the way to the Land of Fire during the war with Konohagakure, this is one of the few forts that still remain in service and it is a place of harsh disipline and training to the ninjas and soldiers that work there. Due to its close distance to Iwagakure, it is often used to train Anbu recruits and for exams.
